I was raised in Slaton and am a proud graduate of Slaton High School. After high school, I attended West Texas A&M University, where I earned my degree and prepared for a career in education. Following graduation, I began my teaching career in Amarillo, where I gained valuable experience in the classroom and developed a strong passion for helping students succeed both academically and personally.
In 2012, my wife, Tina, and I made the decision to return home to Slaton with our children, Braxton and Kaylee. Returning to Slaton gave us the opportunity to raise our family in the community that helped shape me and to continue serving students in the place I have always been proud to call home. Since returning, I have remained committed to education and giving back to the community that has played such an important role in my life.
Public Service
I have been honored to serve the citizens of Slaton as City Commissioner for Ward I since May 2026. I am committed to representing the residents of Ward I and working to help ensure a strong future for our community. Through leadership, service, and dedication, I look forward to continuing to give back to the city that has given so much to me and my family.
