Slaton Senior Citizen’s Center
The Slaton Senior Citizen’s Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the senior citizens of Slaton, Texas. The center provides a variety of services, including nutrition programs, health resources, and community outreach.
In November 2021, a grant was submitted to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs through the Community Development Block Grant program and was approved in 2022. Groundbreaking took place on February 22, 2024, and the new Slaton Senior Citizen’s Center officially opened its doors on September 2, 2025, located at 230 W. Lynn Street, at the corner of W. Lynn Street and North 9th Street.
