In the event a Tornado Watch is issued by the National Weather Service, designated shelters will be opened to provide a safe location for residents until the weather event has cleared the area.
Primary Shelter Location
The CTE Dome will open first:
- Address: 615 W. Lubbock St.
- Capacity: 695 people
Secondary Shelter Location
Once the CTE Dome reaches capacity, an additional shelter will open at the Slaton Junior High Dome:
- Address: 300 W. Jean St.
- Capacity: 1,273 people
