The City of Slaton, Texas, located just southeast of Lubbock, is officially recognized as the Banana Pudding Capital of Texas. This designation was granted by the Texas Legislature through House Concurrent Resolution 135 (HCR 135) and is effective for a 10-year period, ending in 2035.
